Inner Peace

Our association, Inner Peace, brings together like-minded individuals dedicated to promoting mindfulness and well-being. We offer a range of sessions, including meditation, yoga, gratitude, and breathing exercises, benefiting students, faculty, and staff across all Virginia Tech campuses, including NVC. Graduate and PhD students, in particular, find our programs valuable as they navigate the demands of advanced studies. By fostering a supportive environment, Inner Peace enhances mental clarity, emotional resilience, and overall harmony within the Virginia Tech community, empowering everyone to thrive both personally and academically.

We are proud to have members like Rashmi Kulkarni, Nidhi Kamath, and Jay Sarode (Master of Engineering in CS) students who contribute significantly to our mission. Rashmi, a certified tarot reader, brings over a decade of meditation and yoga experience. For the past year, Rashmi has played a key role in organizing weekly meditation sessions for Master of Engineering students outside the NVC campus to deepen the understanding of meditation for better well-being. Nidhi, who recently incorporated meditation, has found that it greatly enhances her well-being. Jay Sarode adds his unique perspective and unwavering commitment, making Inner Peace a dynamic and enriching community for all. The Cook Counseling Center, through Dr. Julie Kaplan, a licensed clinical psychologist at Virginia Tech, supports Inner Peace with her professional guidance and experience, enhancing the well-being of all involved.
